Qualifications

• Education/Experience required: High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience or training.
• Language skills: ability to read, write, and speak clearly with customers and employees.
• Math skills: ability to calculate discounts, percentages and amounts.
• Reasoning ability: problem solving and interpreting various instructions.

Responsibilities

• Achieve department goals in sales and gross profit.
• Maintain supply control, payroll expenses and inventory controls.
• Maintain and review invoices, transfers and inventories.
• Ensure correct pricing and ordering of products.
• Oversee quality, freshness and rotation of Produce items.
• Direct stocking, display and rotation of Produce, ensuring eye appeal and seasonal items.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on merchandising, planning and scheduling.
• Maintain sanitation standards per company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure Produce employees follow policies and procedures.
• Oversee maintenance of department equipment and safety standards.
• Cooperate with other departments during store promotions.
• Perform other duties as directed by Store Manager.
• Direct supervision of Produce Department staff and related personnel.
