Job summary

PetSmart's Process Lead (Retail Operations Lead) has shared responsibility to drive operational excellence in our stores while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role oversees merchandising and inventory, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach sales associates in merchandising and presentation.
• Oversee training, onboarding, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Manage merchandise strategies, inventory levels, audits, and stock replenishment.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash according to policies.
• Ensure store standards and code of ethics adherence.
• Open/close store and perform monthly cycle counts.
• Ensure safe, clean environment and care for pets per standards.
• Deliver positive experience for pet parents with online order pickup.
