Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive operational excellence in our stores, overseeing merchandising, inventory, pet care operations, and daily store performance. This role requires strong leadership to guide associates, manage scheduling, and uphold safety and store standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising retail teams, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide sales associates in merchandise handling and presentation.
• Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and coaching for growth; provide performance feedback.
• Delegate and validate completion of daily tasks; oversee Leaders on Duty when necessary.
• Operate the POS system, handle cash; ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Maintain store standards and uphold Policies, Procedures, and Code of Ethics; participate in opening/closing procedures.
