Job summary

The Michaels Companies, a leading crafts and art retailer, seeks a Merchandise Manager in Houston to drive merchandising and operational execution at Store - HSTN-WESTLAKE. You will oversee SOP compliance, pricing integrity, and timely promotional execution while leading a team through workload planning and inventory control.

Responsibilities include planogram and visual standards execution, truck processing, Ship from Store fulfillment, RTV/ASN processing, and maintaining a customer-ready store

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead SOPs and company programs.
• Strong workload planning and inventory management.
• Experience with planogram execution and visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, and accountability for store conditions.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unload, sort and stock flow to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels.
• Oversee planogram execution and visual merchandising to standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment including backroom.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets, signage, and pricing changes on schedule.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, order picking/packing/shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with documentation accuracy.
• Manage shrink by asset protection practices and training staff.
