Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. store in Vienna, VA seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets and visual standards.

This role ensures accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through strong planning and inventory management. You will lead workload planning, in-stock optimization, planogram compliance, and staff development while partnering with store

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience implementing SOPs and company programs.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee Store-In-Stock Optimization to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and integrity.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and ASN receiving processes.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and coach team members through TM onboarding and development.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
