Job summary

The Michael\'s Companies in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution in-store. You will oversee truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards while ensuring accurate pricing and timely promotional execution.

You will partner with store leadership to manage workload planning, SISO routines, and Ship from Store fulfillment, while coaching teammates to uphold SOPs, assets protection, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and adhering to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes, unloading, sorting, and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership alignment.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promotional signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time, maintaining pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices.
