Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Massachusetts. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service in a clean, safe, and well-stocked store while managing sales and margins.

The role requires coordinating schedules, ensuring inventory readiness, and coaching staff. You may rotate through specialties and support roles to develop versatility and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5 years of experience leading service associates in a retail or consumer service industry.
• 3 years of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
• Experience working in the home improvement retail sector.
• Broad knowledge of interior/exterior product categories (e.g., flooring, cabinets, millwork, building materials, appliances, home décor, lighting, plumbing).
• Experience working with store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer flow and adjust schedules for proper coverage.
• Plan for sales spikes and ensure in-stock position to support demand.
• Conduct safety walks and coach associates on safe practices.
• Lead a team to deliver exceptional service in a clean, safe store environment.
• Aim to achieve sales and margin goals while driving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• May provide full leadership over the store as needed.
• Collaborate with peers, District Manager, and Area support to meet service, sales, and operations objectives.
• Rotate through Specialty and Operations for cross-training and development.
