Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Manager to drive merchandising and execution in the store, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing and timely promotions while maintaining a customer-ready environment. Responsibilities include leading SOPs, ensuring policy execution, providing MOD coverage, and managing inventory accuracy and in-stock levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs for compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards and hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes for unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership to align staffing with business needs.
• Execute SISO routines to drive in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
• Oversee Planogram execution to ensure merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized store environment, including backroom organization and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control to ensure product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant and customer-focused signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across the floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment and ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with accurate documentation and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
