Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership. You’ll work with the Store Manager to supervise a team, focus on merchandising and processing freight, and create positive experiences for customers.

You’ll handle opening/closing, maintain store standards, protect assets, and support monthly planning and stock management. The role requires strong communication, physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a collaborative, energetic approach.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent lifting, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
