Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager, lead a team of associates, and optimize merchandising and freight processing.

You’ll ensure daily store functions run smoothly, uphold safety standards, and maintain clean, organized spaces to drive sales and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, adherence to policies, and collaboration with leaders to deliver a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Experience in retail management or supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep store areas clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Provide positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties: process receipts/returns of merchandise, manage freight flow, stock merchandise including frozen/refrigerated products.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and maintain merchandising like Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
