Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Merchandise Processor to partner with production and retail teams in a fast-paced environment, handling donations, pricing, and display preparation for sale in our Goodwill store.

The role emphasizes lifting up to 35 pounds, working weekends/holidays, and delivering friendly, engaging customer service while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Salary is $13.00 per hour with potential bonuses for referrals.

Qualifications

• Schedule flexibility to support store opening, production, and closing operations.
• Minimum six months of previous work experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process merchandise for sales floor according to guidelines.
• Roll merchandise and stock the sales floor accurately.
• Record and monitor donations accurately and timely.
• Maintain knowledge of brand names and current fashion trends.
• Sort apparel into boutique/Ecommerce, sellable, and salvage categories.
• Place items on hangers and transport to sales floor grouped by type.
• Meet daily quota for pieces processed.
• Price and place merchandise on sales floor in organized areas.
• Report safety hazards and injuries to the manager on duty.
• Provide exceptional service to donors and customers.
• Participate in store meetings and trainings.
• Follow supervisor's schedule.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Maintain uniform appearance.
• Communicate Goodwill’s mission to donors and customers.
• Cross-train in other store operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
