Job summary

Carowinds is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead daily merchandise operations, drive profitability, and engage the guest experience. You will direct the Area Manager team, align with corporate strategies, and uphold safety and service standards park-wide.

The role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong budgeting, inventory, and people-management skills, plus comfort with a dynamic theme-park environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or merchandising is preferred.
• 6–8 years in merchandise/retail with progressive responsibilities.
• 3–5 years leading and supervising a large team.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Up to 5% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily merchandise operations and drive profitability growth.
• Lead area manager team to achieve associate, guest and financial goals.
• Develop and implement strategies with cross-functional partners.
• Manage visual merchandising plans and store displays.
• Ensure safety, budgeting, inventory, and loss prevention controls.
• Maintain high guest service standards and respond to guest inquiries.
