Job summary

Cavender’s in San Marcos, TX is seeking a dependable Stocker to support daily store operations by stocking merchandise, organizing backroom inventory, and keeping the sales floor ready for customers.

You will inspect items for tagging, assist with transfers and returns, maintain clean aisles, and help with merchandising projects while staying compliant with safety policies. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Stock and organize merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely use store equipment per company policies.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read and understand English.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise to the sales floor and backroom following standards.
• Inspect merchandise for tagging, quality, and correct labeling.
• Organize back stock to maintain inventory accuracy and product flow.
• Assist with processing merchandise, transfers, special orders, and returns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom, including housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with merchandising projects, floor moves, and display maintenance.
• Report safety concerns to store management and maintain professional appearance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise or directing them to the appropriate associate.
