Job summary

You will assume store supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence, mentor staff, manage inventory, scheduling, and merchandising while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans to achieve department and store goals.
• Act as the store's primary overseer in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures as per manuals.
• Protect assets and financial information; report potential fraud risk.
