Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Amarillo, Texas is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager and oversee daily operations, merchandising, restocking, and customer service. This role trains in all store departments and prepares you to assume Store Manager responsibilities.

You will lead by example, manage staff in the Store Manager’s absence, promote promotions, and ensure policy compliance while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with asset control and store responsibilities.
• Develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Step in for Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per manuals and policies.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service during peak periods and promote store services and merchandise.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as documented.
