Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company offers a paid Management & Sales Internship in our Michigan stores for 10-12 weeks, delivering hands-on experience in management, sales, merchandising, and customer interactions. Interns gain insight into an outside sales career by riding with a Sales Representative and shadowing the management team.

Upon successful completion, interns are encouraged to apply to the Management & Sales Training Program to grow their career with Sherwin-Williams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional assistance in-store and over the phone.
• Sales Support: Maintain product displays and help customers meet needs; contribute to sales goals.
• Product Knowledge: Develop strong store merchandise knowledge to answer inquiries and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Inventory & Merchandising: Restock shelves, support inventory management, and assist visual merchandising.
• Store Operations: Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product preparation, and general maintenance.
• Logistics Support: Help unload deliveries, organize stockrooms, and ensure efficient inventory flow.
• Training & Compliance: Participate in training sessions and follow store policies, safety, HR, and loss prevention.
• Team Collaboration: Support teammates in resolving customer concerns and completing shared tasks.
• Project Responsibility: Collaborate on a team project addressing a real business challenge; present outcomes.
