Job summary

ShopRite of Forest & Richmond in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Maintenance Associate for our Mannix NYC location to deliver a clean, safe store environment and provide friendly service.

The role requires cleaning, janitorial duties, stocking supplies, operating equipment safely, and adhering to store policies and safety rules; candidates must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Tolerance to dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures.
• Replenish paper/soap in restrooms as required.
• Clean floors and surfaces per store procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work/shopping environment.
• Operates cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment.
• Adhere to store rules, policies, and safety requirements.
