Job summary

ShopRite of Newton in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Associate to deliver friendly service while performing janitorial duties and basic upkeep throughout the store. The role supports store cleanliness, safety, and presentation, ensuring a welcoming shopping environment for Customers and Associates.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom maintenance, trash disposal, inventory checks, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Able to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling containers as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in restrooms.
• Clean, mop, sweep, and maintain floors as directed.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
