Job summary

ShopRite of Absecon is seeking a Maintenance associate to deliver friendly, efficient service while keeping the store clean and sanitary. You will perform janitorial duties, clean restrooms, mop floors, and maintain a safe, attractive shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Required: ability to read, write and speak English; stand for long periods; regularly lift 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally); tolerate dust and cleaning agents; interact with customers politely; work well with

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly and understand instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for a full shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Tolerance for dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Friendly, helpful interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to cooperate with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling as directed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restrooms.
• Replenish paper and soap in restrooms as required.
• Clean floors and maintain a safe, organized store environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow safety policies and report equipment issues.
