Job summary

ShopRite of Newark is seeking a Maintenance Associate for Glass NJ. You will deliver friendly customer service while performing cleaning and janitorial duties across the store to maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities include sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing supplies, and operating equipment safely. You will work with Store Management to ensure efficient operations and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling containers as directed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floor areas per procedures.
• Keep break and lunch areas clean and organized.
• Monitor and request supplies as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain store security and report irregularities.
