Job summary

ShopRite of East Orange is seeking a Maintenance Associate to deliver a great customer experience while performing maintenance and janitorial duties across the store. You will help keep restrooms clean, floors spotless, and facilities sanitary to present a safe, attractive environment for shoppers and staff.

The role requires the ability to read and communicate in English, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and understand instructions.
• Stand/walk for full shift and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way; work with others.
• Must be 18+ to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean, mop, sweep, and maintain floors per procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist in training when required.
