Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to collaborate with the Sr. Area Loss Prevention Manager, Ross Investigative & Safety Center, and store leadership to reduce external theft and fraud and coordinate with law enforcement on incidents.

You will monitor entrances and sales floors for suspicious activity, provide customer service to at‑risk individuals, document incidents, and support trespass actions while maintaining a safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.
• Experience in Loss prevention, security, or retail preferred.
• Candidates with current and valid security guard registration card preferred.
• Loss Prevention Specialist training can act as an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate external theft and fraud in stores by monitoring activities.
• Identify suspicious behaviors and provide service to customers.
• Coordinate with law enforcement on external theft incidents and trespass cases.
• Monitor store entrances/exits and sales floor for theft indicators.
• Document incident narratives and evidence in company databases.
• Lead or participate in partnerships to support LP initiatives.
