AutoZone's Store Management team drives store performance and delivers WOW! customer service under the guidance of the Store Manager.

The Manager in Training (MIT) role is a structured development program designed to prepare you for promotion into Retail Store Management. Through hands-on assignments, leadership training, and exposure to store operations, you'll gain experience in staffing, training, and developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full-time schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional communication in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in leadership development and customer service excellence.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong team.
• Support store operations and ensure compliance with policies and structured training processes.
• Learn to analyze monthly P&L statements to support profitability.
• Progression to management openings based on performance and availability.
