Job summary

Target Stores Executive Internship is a paid, 40 hr/week program designed to develop and prepare you for store leadership. As a Stores Executive Intern, you will work with managers and team members to learn how Target’s retail business operates and how to excel in a management role within the store.

You will drive guest service, merchandising, and daily operations while developing leadership skills through mentor guidance and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail management within our stores.
• Learn and adapt to Target’s leadership expectations.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the store sales floor and backroom leading team members.
• Work with your ETL mentor and other leaders to understand roles.
• Lead daily priorities (stocking, guest experience, displays) and guide the team.
• Partner with leaders to coach and develop team members with timely feedback.
• Lead daily huddles and present results to the leadership team.
• Set goals and plans with store leaders to meet priorities.
