Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Retail Lead for our Reno, NV location. You will act as an operational extension of the Store Manager, guiding shift teams, ensuring guest attention, and optimizing floor flow.

You will coach staff on sales performance, manage inventory controls to minimize shrinkage, and oversee cash handling and POS operations while upholding Nevada cannabis compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background, for large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Must be 21+ and possess (or be able to obtain) a Nevada Facility Agent Card.

Responsibilities

Retail Lead

Location: Reno, NV

Position Summary:

The retail lead's primary responsibility is to be an operational extension to the store manager. Retail leads are responsible for controlling the sales floor flow, ensuring guests are being tended to promptly, team members are fulfilling their responsibilities, and providing operational support from discount codes to lunch coverage. The retail lead would be responsible for overseeing their shift team members and the sales floor operational efficiencies while on shift.

Responsibilities:

• Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Ensuring 25+ Team members are upselling, completing daily inventory responsibilities, and providing a guest experience.
  • Sales Expertise: Responsible for coaching and giving sales feedback to the team on their shift, while also encouraging the team to improve their metrics for their location.
  • Inventory Control: Coaching team member to appropriately scan out products to help reduce shrinkage
  • Floor Operations: Manage daily store openings and closings, cash reconciliation, and point-of-sale (POS) systems, discount codes.
  • Compliance: Understanding Nevada compliance requirements to confidently walk through state inspections, reducing deficiencies.
• Goals: The results you must reach.
  • Improving sales consistently month over month.
  • Team education on expected sales metrics.
  • Reducing aging and expiring products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Budtenders

• Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and energetic. The floor features specialized product displays (flower, edibles, concentrates). Staff must be adaptable to busy rushes, as wait times and long lines are common during peak hours
