Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Retail Sales Lead Worker to coordinate store operations, train cashiers and general utility workers, and ensure superior guest service. You will assign daily tasks, lead pre-shift briefings, and act as a concierge for guests while maintaining a professional atmosphere in management's absence.

Responsibilities include accurate cash handling, inventory oversight, and timely closeouts, with emphasis on safety and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to facilitate sales reports and audits.
• Must be of legal age to work with alcohol.
• Proof of having earned a responsible alcohol training and certification program where applicable.
• Flexible, willing to work a rotational schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Fluent in the native language, both spoken and written.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to operate equipment such as POS System, Photocopier, Calculator, Printer, Telephone, Computer.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Sales Associate and General Utility Worker duties.
• Hold pre-shift meetings to ensure the team is aware of the day's tasks and safety.
• Retail Leads should be highly knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, acting as a concierge resource for all guests.
• Ensure all guests are greeted when they walk into the store.
• Train Sales Associates and General Utility Workers in their role.
• Ensure everything operates smoothly in the manager's absence and that all customer relations issues are handled effectively.
• Respond directly to all customer complaints and resolve them professionally.
• Keep an inventory of stock and note out-of-stock items or shortages.
• Order merchandise from warehouse and vendors to meet demand.
• May be required to complete monthly safety inspections and file incident reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere store-wide.
• Collect and compile daily cash and sales data from all outlets using Microsoft Excel and POS/Property Management System.
• Lead nightly close out and balance cash with daily sales.
• May perform nightly audit of cashier documentation.
• Assist management in scheduling employees and assigning tasks.
• May assist with hiring staff.
• May coordinate payroll for the department and submit weekly reports.
