King Arthur Baking Company is seeking a Retail Lead in Alexandria, VA to guide daily store operations and lead staff. This full‑time, on‑site role involves merchandising, cash handling, and staff development, with 32–40 hours per week and pay ranging from $20.17 to $24.55 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, product training, and maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of leadership experience in a Retail, Restaurant/Café, or Hospitality role.
• Proficient with point of sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment a plus.
• Flexibility: morning, evening and weekend shifts required
• Proficient math and cash-handling skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, inventory, restocking, purchasing, and expense control.
• Lead and supervise Retail staff, delegate tasks, manage schedules, and foster teamwork.
• Lead and support product training to develop sales skills and product knowledge.
• Partner with Retail Store Manager to set daily priorities and monitor performance.
• Promote excellent customer service and effective product merchandising for a positive visitor experience.
• Coordinate baking demonstrations and events, including staffing and scheduling.
• Oversee POS training and cash handling; prepare deposits and maintain records.
