King Arthur Baking Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Retail Team Lead to oversee the daily operation of our pop-up store. You will motivate the retail associates to deliver exceptional service and share the joy of baking with customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience leading a high performing retail team.
• Schedule flexibility including evenings and weekends.
• Broad knowledge and experience of retail store sales.
• Enthusiasm for baking.
• High standards for service.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to balance hands‑on work with administrative tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and inspire your team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Promote and monitor quality service among staff through training and acting as a positive role model.
• Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs.
• Work with Retail Assistant Store Manager and Human Resources to hire and evaluate Retail Associates.
• Maintain daily deposit log and approve timecards.
• Create a culture of accountability and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Open and close the retail store and POS operations.
• Write performance evaluations and conduct goal assessments.
• Plan weekly staff schedules within budgeted guidelines.
