Job summary

King Arthur Baking Company in Alexandria, VA is hiring a Retail Sales Associate I for a year-round part-time schedule. You will greet customers, assist with product finding, process transactions, maintain merchandise standards, and support daily store operations to drive sales.

This role offers hourly pay from $18.57 to $19.52, with benefits including medical, dental and vision, company-paid disability and life insurance, paid time off, and participation in our ESOP and profit-sharing programs

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a retail related field
• Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Customer Focus & Service Excellence – Delivers consistent, professional service by understanding customer needs, providing accurate information, and supporting a positive in-store experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and provide assistance throughout the shopping experience
• Assists customers in locating merchandise and providing accurate product information
• Supports the team in achieving daily and monthly sales goals
• Support store opening and closing procedures, including register functions, as assigned
• Maintains the store’s appearance through cleaning, organizing, restocking, and signage upkeep
• Communicates consistently and clearly with their retail team, shift leads, and managers
• Supports community activations and events as needed
