See’s Candies is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the Shop Manager in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining smooth daily operations. The role includes leadership of the retail team and active involvement in store management.

You will help staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and inventory control while upholding company policies and safety standards. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail management experience.
• Proven ability to train and coach employees.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager with leadership and achieving sales targets.
• Set daily, monthly, and annual sales goals and monitor progress.
• Communicate and implement company direction, policies, and programs.
• Delegate tasks, ensure team compliance, and provide follow-up.
• Resolve customer and employee concerns professionally and promptly.
• Train and develop team members on programs, policies, and procedures.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
• Ensure policy, safety, and cash-handling compliance.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and inventory-related tasks.
• Assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping and banking procedures.
