Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to greet customers, assess project needs, and craft design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, product recommendations for tile, wood, stone, and accessories, and building lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate has at least one year in interior design or retail sales, a design degree is a plus, and familiarity with hard surface flooring.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, building clientele via networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals.
• Support company initiatives and design trends.
• Understand and use design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, MyProject).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
