Position Overview

The General Manager (GM) will play a critical role in launching and overseeing the operations of flagship location. This position requires a versatile leader who can manage day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment. The GM will set the standard for exceptional service, team management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Leadership
    • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, scheduling, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Ensure adherence to state and local regulations governing the sale of cannabis products.
  2. Team Management
    • Lead a team of 14-18 employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that aligns with values of inclusion and professional growth.
    • Handle conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  3. Customer Experience
    • Create a welcoming and educational environment for customers, promoting informed and responsible consumption.
    • Implement strategies to elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Inventory and Cash Handling
    • Manage inventory to ensure accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and minimal shrinkage.
    • Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
  5. Scheduling and Reporting
    • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage, especially during the store's opening period.
    • Provide regular reports on sales, staffing, and operational metrics to upper management.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of Retail Management experience
  • Proven experience managing teams of 10+ employees (14-18 preferred).
  • Strong background in inventory management and cash handling.
  • Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment, adhering to SOPs and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in conflict management and problem-solving.
  • Cannabis industry experience is not required but is a plus.

Work Schedule

  • Must have flexibility to work varied hours, especially during the store’s initial launch phase.
