The Role

We seek a BS/MD College Admissions Consultant with prior admissions committee experience and a passion for guiding students through the competitive BS/MD and pre-med application process. Your main responsibilities include supporting students in excelling across all application aspects, providing personalized mentorship, monitoring academic progress, and offering strategic guidance. Your work will help students gain admission to their top-choice programs. This role can be based anywhere in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist prospective students applying to pre-medical and BS/MD programs by helping them identify opportunities and draft compelling application materials.
  2. Provide strategic guidance throughout the admissions process, including school selection, essays, resumes, recommendations, interviews, and timelines.
  3. Help students identify suitable universities and programs, especially BS/MD pathways, and ensure their research aligns with their goals.
  4. Support project planning and accountability using tools like Excel trackers to manage milestones.
  5. Stay informed about the college and BS/MD admissions landscape to provide relevant advice.
Qualifications
  1. MD degree completed; currently enrolled in a medical residency.
  2. Extensive experience guiding BS/MD and pre-med applicants through all admission stages.
  3. Prior admissions committee experience at a highly selective institution, preferably evaluating BS/MD or pre-med candidates.
  4. 7+ years in education, admissions consulting, or college counseling with a strong mentoring record.
  5. Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
