Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages) and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers and POS devices.
• Familiarity with safety policies and store security practices.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store procedures.
• Rotate and face merchandise; build displays and restock as needed.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate register, itemize purchases, bag items and handle payment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of front end and stockroom.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation in absence of management.
• Provide leadership in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager and ensure cash controls.
