Job summary

Martin's Super Markets is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead daily department operations in a retail store. You will train associates, ensure adequate staffing, and uphold company standards and KPIs to drive performance.

You will manage inventory, review orders, and supervise stocking, production, and quality control while staying familiar with store products and promotions. This role requires a hands-on leader aspiring to excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory in the department, using bolding procedures to minimize loss and ensure freshness.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, and ensure proper storage.
• Manage a team to complete stocking, production, and tasks to ensure product quality, planning, accuracy, and rotation.
• Maintain familiarity with all products in the department and store.
• Know ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and rewards program features.
• Communicate and execute Flight Plans to company standards and timelines.
• Follow scheduling tools and learn payroll expense management for the department.
• Support the department manager in staffing, training, performance, and development.
• Attend daily huddles and meetings; participate in district/company meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department following Prime Time standards.
