Job summary

Martin's Super Markets is seeking a front-end supervisor to ensure high-quality customer service at the store’s front end. You will supervise shifts in the absence of the Customer Service Manager and direct daily front-end activities to support the store’s financial goals.

Responsibilities include handling transactions, managing staff, training, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked department while adhering to safety and guest experience guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting or bookkeeping skills.
• Interpret and analyze financials.
• Develop and manage budgets.
• Delegate/direct/implement
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform all transactions; cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT, IDs, over rings, credits, suspended orders, refunds, coupons, gift certificates, lottery tickets, Western Union, Ticket Master, and all other media per policy.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly with focus on perishables.
• Knowledge of product locations in the store.
• Knowledge of advertised items, special prices, coupons, and sales program features.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions.
• Manage selection, scheduling, and supervision of staff to meet productivity targets.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines; Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations; Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed; additional responsibilities as required.
