Retail- Events Coordinator

Job Overview: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events, including kids' birthday parties, to create a fun, engaging, and stress-free experience for guests. Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers and ensuring a smooth checkout process. Complete operational tasks such as truck unloading, merchandising, and store recovery to uphold our Brand Promises.

Responsibilities:
  1. Event Coordination:
    • Manage multiple events simultaneously, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
    • Create a fun and creative environment for clients of all ages.
    • Demonstrate craft projects, perform face painting, and coordinate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding event details.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
    • Adapt plans based on client feedback and develop backup/emergency plans to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events.
  2. Customer Experience:
    • Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and providing solutions.
    • Ensure quick and friendly checkout experiences.
    • Promote and enroll customers in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards.
    • Educate customers about Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys.
    • Support Omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
    • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, planogram setup, merchandise recovery, and store maintenance.
    • Support shrink and safety initiatives, adhere to SOPs and company policies.
    • Interact positively with customers and team members, promoting a respectful environment.
    • Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
    • Participate in store cleanliness activities.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Energetic, enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to handle stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers of all ages.
  • Excellent people skills and experience working with children and children’s events.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Retail and/or customer service experience required.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform physical tasks like lifting and reaching.
  • Work may involve outdoor activities, working in climate-controlled or non-controlled environments, and using equipment like ladders.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Legal and Compensation: Applicants must meet legal requirements. The pay range is $16.50 - $19.40 per hour.
