Position Type: Hourly Full-Time

Hourly Rate: $15.00

Bonus Pay: Up to $250/month

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
  2. Handle all donations with care and respect.
  3. Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to established guidelines.
  4. Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
  5. Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
  6. Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
  7. Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
  8. Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership, working cross-functionally to increase communication.
  9. Utilize safe work practices by awareness and observation, contributing to a hazard-free workplace by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and walkways debris-free.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  11. Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of assets.
  12. Adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
  13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Additional benefits include:

  • Monthly Bonus Up to $250.00
  • Immediate hire with access to individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30+ hours/week.
  • Dental and vision benefits starting the first of the month following hire for employees working 20+ hours/week.
  • Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance starting the first of the month following hire for employees working 20+ hours/week.
  • Retirement options: 403(B) with employer match after one year, and 401(A), available upon hire for employees working 20+ hours/week.
  • PTO accrual up to 15 days based on hours worked.
  • Paid holidays and flexible schedules.
