Hourly Rate: $15.00 Bonus Pay: Up to $250/month

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Retail Donation Attendant to join our Glen Carbon Store team. Qualifications
  • No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide positive customer service, including greeting donors, assisting with donations, and offering thanks, incentives, and tax receipts.
  • Handle donations with care and respect.
  • Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, and trash.
  • Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate donations.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Stock, straighten, rotate, and clean the store area.
  • Uphold store cleanliness standards through sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
  • Build positive relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Follow safe work practices and contribute to a hazard-free workplace.
  • Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
  • Safeguard assets from harm, damage, or theft; report incidents promptly.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
