MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant for our Springfield Store - Western. This hourly full-time role supports store operations, donor interactions, and inventory management while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers, donors, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings and donor assistance.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated/purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash).
• Notify management of hazardous or inappropriate items.
• Maintain store cleanliness and neatness of the area.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain store sections.
• Uphold safety and hazard-free work environment.
• Establish professional relationships with team and leadership.
• Work cross-functionally to improve communication across teams.
• Follow dress code and safeguard assets (cash, donations, items).
• Adhere to policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
