Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Donation Attendant for our Chesterfield Store - Forum location. This role supports our mission, changes lives through the power of work, and requires no degree.

You will assist donors, process donations, sort items, and help maintain store cleanliness while upholding company policies and safety standards. The position offers an hourly full-time schedule with a pay rate of $15.50 per hour and a potential bonus of up to $250 per month.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, donors assistance with drop-offs, and tax receipts.
• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories per guidelines (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash).
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate items.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
• Build positive relationships with team members and leadership and collaborate across teams.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles clear of obstructions.
• Adhere to dress code and safeguard assets from loss or damage.
• All other duties as assigned.
