Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant for the Fenton Store - Gravois Bluffs. This hourly full-time role involves greeting donors, processing donations, and maintaining store presentation to support our mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.

Responsibilities include customer interactions, donation handling, item categorization, safety, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings and assisting donors with donation drop-offs.
• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased items into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, and trash.
• Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise being donated.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Uphold store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with team members and leadership and collaborate with other teams to improve communication.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles/decorations clear of hazards.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets from harm, damage, or theft and report incidents.
