Job summary

SpartanNash in Zeeland, MI is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in our retail store. You will train associates, manage staffing, and ensure adherence to company standards and KPIs while maintaining product freshness and quality.

You'll review orders, manage inventory, schedule staff, and uphold food safety and safety guidelines. Strong leadership, communication, and basic office skills are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.
• Ability to lead hands-on and work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store.
• Train and supervise associates; manage staffing and scheduling.
• Order, receive, and inventory control to ensure freshness and quality.
• Monitor promotions, pricing, and store deals for sales programs.
• Ensure food safety and overall store safety guidelines are followed.
• Attend meetings and communicate flight plans and company goals.
