Job summary

SpartanNash in Coldwater, OH is hiring a department supervisor to lead daily store operations in the absence of the department manager. You will ensure staffing, training, inventory control, and adherence to company standards and KPIs.

You’ll review received orders, manage rotation and shelf readiness, support scheduling and payroll, and coordinate with teams to meet goals. Strong leadership and communication in retail are essential; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Depending on company location, ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations in the absence of the department manager.
• Ensure associates are trained and the department is fully staffed.
• Order and maintain inventory, minimize loss, and ensure product freshness.
• Review received orders for quantity and quality; rotate stock.
• Support scheduling, labor control, and payroll expenses for the department.
• Attend and participate in daily huddles and meetings.
