Job summary

Burberry is seeking a Department Manager in Dawsonville, GA to support the Store Manager in driving category performance and sales. You will supervise sales staff, coach in real time, and ensure Burberry’s customer experience standards are met.

The role focuses on leading an engaged team, improving selling skills, and delivering the Burberry Experience across the floor. Retail leadership in a premium brand is preferred.

Qualifications

• POS system proficiency and fluency with digital tools.
• Ability to handle complex customer service issues.
• Fluent, professional dialogue with clients and staff.
• Experience using Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales associates to improve selling skills and close sales to reach goals and KPIs.
• Drive sales for an assigned category; partner with Store Manager on sell-through and training.
• Lead a high-performing customer-facing team delivering Burberry Experience.
• Manage customer flow to ensure top service and coverage.
• Foster collaboration between sales, specialists, stock and operations.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and post-transaction feedback to associates.
• Develop and retain talent through monthly development plans and annual reviews.
• Lead integration of new joiners into the business.
• Demonstrate Burberry Experience on the floor when needed.
• Coordinate Burberry Experience training with Store Manager and Training.
• Use meetings to reinforce key brand elements and improve difficulties.
• Handle post-void transactions, authorize discounts, and oversee employee sales.
• Advance the digital experience in-store and communicate when face-to-face isn’t possible.
• Convey business needs and ideas to raise performance.
• Adhere to company policies and promote a positive work environment.
• Support opening/closing procedures and security.
• Perform additional duties as required.
