Job summary

Wynwood Dog Food Co. in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time Retail Associate with customer-support responsibilities. You will assist customers, process transactions, manage inventory, and help ensure the store remains welcoming and organized.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers-and their dogs-in the store, providing thoughtful recommendations for meals, treats, supplements, and other Wynwood Dog Food Co. products
• Develop and apply strong product and pet nutrition knowledge to confidently educate and guide customers
• Build and maintain customer relationships through thoughtful follow-up and ongoing support
• Manage day-to-day retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, store organization, opening and closing procedures, and point-of-sale transactions
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails related to orders, delivery updates, product questions, and issue resolution
• Balance and prioritize in-store customer interactions and customer support responsibilities throughout the day
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, production, fulfillment, and headquarters, on daily coordination and process improvements
• Operate with a high level of ownership and self-sufficiency in a position that requires wearing multiple hats
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, inventory, and POS operations

About the Role

This is a blended retail and customer support position that combines core Retail Associate responsibilities with customer service support. You will manage day-to-day store operations, including assisting customers, processing transactions, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the store remains organized and welcoming. You will also serve as a key point of contact for customers who need assistance with their orders, deliveries, or product-related questions.

In addition to supporting customers in the store, you will handle inbound and outbound calls and emails related to orders, delivery updates, product questions, and issue resolution. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to balance in-store interactions with customer support responsibilities throughout the day.

You will collaborate closely with other store locations and our headquarters teams, including retail, fulfillment, and production. This role is ideal for someone who is self-sufficient, adaptable, and comfortable communicating across multiple channels. The right candidate will be willing to learn our products and develop the knowledge needed to confidently speak about the fundamentals of pet health and nutrition. This is not a passive retail role. It requires active communication, problem-solving, customer education, and ownership throughout the day.

• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make decisions confidently
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and store locations
• Comfortable using POS systems, iPads, email, and customer support tools; Shopify experience is a plus
• Passion for dogs and an interest in pet health and nutrition

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: Part-time shifts are scheduled within the store's operating hours based on business needs and employee availability. Weekend availability is required. Additional time may be required for opening and closing responsibilities.

• Monday through Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
