Job summary

Wynwood Dog Food Co. in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time Retail Associate with customer-support responsibilities. You will assist customers, process transactions, manage inventory, and help ensure the store remains welcoming and organized.

You will also respond to orders, delivery updates, and product questions across in-store and digital channels, requiring strong communication and the ability to balance multiple tasks. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience required; experience in the pet, veterinary, or food industries is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, including assisting in-store customers while responding to customer support inquiries
• Comfortable using POS systems, iPads, email, and customer support tools

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers-and their dogs-in the store, providing thoughtful recommendations for meals, treats, supplements, and other Wynwood Dog Food Co. products
• Develop and apply strong product and pet nutrition knowledge to confidently educate and guide customers
• Build and maintain customer relationships through thoughtful follow-up and ongoing support
• Manage day-to-day retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, store organization, opening and closing procedures, and point-of-sale transactions
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails related to orders, delivery updates, product questions, and issue resolution
• Balance and prioritize in-store customer interactions and customer support responsibilities throughout the day
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, production, fulfillment, and headquarters, on daily coordination and process improvements
• Operate with a high level of ownership and self-sufficiency in a position that requires wearing multiple hats
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, inventory, and POS operations
