Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver exceptional service at the point of sale. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, stocking shelves, preparing food items, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory procedures while working collaboratively with store staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent computer skills with PDI Enterprise POS (evaluation required).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Open availability to work all shifts across the district.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS and cash register accurately, handling money and payments.
• Conduct various sales transactions per company policy (credit cards, coupons, alcohol, tobacco, lottery, fast food).
• Check identification for restricted items per policy.
• Engage in sales promotions and build customer relations; work toward sales goals.
• Follow all laws and store safety procedures; maintain neat appearance and uniform.
• Prepare hot food items per procedure; maintain food and condiment areas.
• Ensure store cleanliness inside and out, including floors, equipment, and restrooms.
• Receive deliveries, stock shelves, and organize backroom supplies.
• Restock merchandise to avoid holes on shelves and ensure freshness checks.
