Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking team members to provide exceptional customer service at our locations. You will handle sales, process transactions, and maintain a friendly, safe, and clean environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, verifying IDs for restricted items, stocking merchandise, and assisting with promotions. Join us to support management in daily operations while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / competency in PDI Enterprise POS (evaluation required).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
• Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register) and handle money accurately.
• Perform service transactions in accordance with company policy: credit card transactions, manufacturer coupons, vendor check-in, alcohol/tobacco/lottery sales, and fast food sales.
• Check identification for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products according to company policy.
• Actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns; practice suggestive selling and build customer relations.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and store cleanliness; ensure store is free of litter and spills and equipment is sanitized.
• Stock shelves with new merchandise and rotate stock; maintain organization of backroom supplies.
• Prepare hot food items per current procedures as designated by Store Manager.
• Follow safety policies and store procedures; assist with all daily duties as assigned by Store Manager.
