Job summary

Stop & Shop in East Lyme, CT is seeking a motivated Customer Service Manager to lead the daily operations of Front End, Online Pick-up and Cash Office, ensuring a well-staffed, well-stocked store with exceptional service.

You will recruit, train, develop talent, manage budgets, uphold sanitation and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement while engaging with the local community to deliver positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent years of work experience.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Department Management: Oversee daily Operations of Customer Service including Front End, Online Pick-up and Cash Office.
• Meet or exceed sales and profit targets while maintaining standards of sanitation and safety.
• Recruit, hire and orient new staff; maintain a high level of talent.
• Develop and evaluate training, monitor performance and provide development plans.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and financial targets for profitability.
• Ensure compliance with policies and labor laws; address employee issues promptly.
• Drive customer service excellence and ensure well-stocked stores with fresh products.
• Foster diversity and inclusion, and engage with the community through events.
